On Saturday, pupils from St. Luke’s and Valewood came down to Marine as part of their Literacy Kicks program. The aim of the day was for the pupils to become reporters and produce a match report on the Marine vs. Guiseley game.
They took to reporters like pros, produced some great reports, and were able to report on Marine scoring a late winner by top striker Bobby Grant. After the game, Bobby Grant came out and was interviewed by the pupils for their report. Thankyou to Bobby Grant for doing the interview.
The Literacy Kicks programme was a great success, and we hope the pupils from St. Luke’s and Valewood enjoyed being able to enhance their writing through the role of sports reporters and being able to report on a Marine game.
