This week, the MITC Star of the Week is our “4 Clubs, 1 Goal” program. This initiative involves four clubs across Merseyside: Liverpool, Everton, Tranmere, and Marine. It is supported by Crimestoppers and Merseyside Police.
This year, the program focused on addressing the significant issue of ketamine. We held talks featuring recovering addicts, Crime Commissioner Emily Spurrell, and representatives from Crimestoppers. Additionally, we organized an exciting football tournament where schools represented the four clubs.
It was a fantastic day for our local youth to learn about the dangers of ketamine and how to report crime anonymously through Crimestoppers.
We would also like to extend our gratitude to former Liverpool players Chris Kirkland and David Fairclough, as well as the new Marine manager Bobby Grant, who all attended the event to present medals and trophies to the participants.
